Basic details of every site within the TRICS® database can be found by viewing site lists within this section. This will be particularly helpful to those wishing to use the TRICS® Bureau Service.
Here is a summary of
the data items shown in the database site
lists.
Site Ref.
The unique identifier for each individual
TRICS® site, displaying its regional code
(e.g. Aberdeen is “AD”), its
land use code (e.g. Retail – Food Superstore
is “01-A”) and a unique numeric
identifier (e.g. “01”). These
reference codes must be quoted for each TRICS®
site required when using the Bureau Service.

and its town/city (e.g. “ Aberdeen”).

is situated (e.g. “Edge of Town”,
Town Centre”, “Suburban Area”,

choosing sites for trip rate calculation.

Trip Rate
Parameters 1 to 4
Most land use categories will have
1 to 4 parameters by which trip rates can
be calculated. These vary by land use (e.g.
GFA, Employees, Site Area, Dwellings, etc).
The value of each of these parameters will
be displayed. Bureau Service users will be
required to specify by which parameter their
trip rates should be calculated.
Survey Type
There are two types of surveys, “Vehicles” and “Multi-Modal”.
A multi-modal survey contains a standard
vehicle survey plus additional counts for
pedestrians, vehicle occupants, and public
transport users.
Most recent Survey
The date of them most recent survey available for each site record. |
