TRICS® on the web
TRICS is pleased to announce that its new web-based system is now LIVE, and is available to all member organisations.

Users can now login within our new "Members Area", and operate the TRICS software on-line. All current features of the Windows version of the software are replicated in the web environment, using a fast server, and will be recognisable to users, as they will appear very similar in style to the Windows version. The existing system of usernames and passwords (which was previously only used for software downloads) are now also used for TRICS on the web access.

Advantages of the web-based system include more regular database updates, the facility to pay for licence fees and other associated TRICS services on-line via a secure credit card server, and no further need to download our regular software updates. Users login to the new system, knowing that the very latest program and database will be automatically accessed. Another benefit of the web-based system is that any system bugs that are discovered can be fixed immediately and uploaded, removing the need for downloading software “patches”.

The latest version of the software is now available in both web and Windows formats. We are now undergoing a six-month “changeover” period up to June 2008, at which time TRICS will become solely web-based, with the Windows version no longer being supported. From this point, more regular database updates will be possible (currently updates take place every 6 months).

If you want to discuss the web-based development of TRICS in any further detail please contact Ian Coles, TRICS Manager, on 020 7618 4104, or at ian.coles@jmp.co.uk
