System updates

The TRICS® system is updated every three months, and is made available as a web facility and a downloadable “off-line” version.

Ongoing development of the system incorporates a unique interactive approach that is inclusive of everyone within the TRICS® Community. Through our popular annual User Meetings, responses to our annual user questionnaires, and through direct correspondence with our users, the system is continuously developed and improved. When new versions of the system are ready for release, users are notified of all system changes and enhancements via a document placed in the TRICS® Library module.

An annual, comprehensive programme of data collection, covering all regions of the UK and Ireland, also means that new transport surveys are added to the database each quarter, with information on each of the new sites also being provided within the Library module. All data supplied to TRICS® by its approved data collection contractors is subject to thorough, stringent validation procedures, with no new data being accepted into the database until all of our validation testing criteria has been met. This ensures that TRICS® data remains of the highest quality.
